Hi! This note is for you if you've spent time with people who moan at you constantly — and have noticed how much it drags you down. Of course, we all have bad days; however healthy relationships are supportive both ways.

And feature fun, too!

Or perhaps you’ve spent time with people who like to gossip (yet you recognise someone who talks badly about others behind their back will do the same to you when you’re not around).

The purpose of the words below — in my view — encourages us to enjoy healthy relationships. Affirming that we’re right to have boundaries and choose wisely who we spend time with. They could also be a reminder to self-check yourself (I’ve done so after writing this!)

Could we be gossiping and moaning — and contributing to the toxic atmosphere in the world?

You may well receive something different from the words though — let me know below if you’d like to :)

Gossip and Moaning

Let’s bond over gossip and moaning

No thank you. That was the old way. The new way is loving, supportive.  It’s kindness. (The old ways brought sadness, competition, suspicion)

I just want to vent though, and grumble at you

No thank you, again. That’s why I go to therapy, journal my angst out and then… I can show up — with those that I love — being as well as I can

So if people you’re with all grumble and sadden your mood then move on and find new ones

Find kindness and hopefulness, loving supportiveness 

Bond over laughs and enjoyment

The old ways? The new ways? The choice is now ours 

Let’s bond over trusting each other

It’s wiser — discerning — who’s speaking well, of life, others, us (when our back’s turned)

Are you loving life? Are you kind to others? 

Are you being pleasant to be with?
